Brad nail is a new woodworking nails structured by sticking single nails that regularly arranged together with adhesive or other tools. Two ends of the nail are forced into books, boards, or other thin materials for blending and fastening purposes. Generally, brad nails are used with special nail guns that powered by electricity or compressed air and shoot into wood panels, plastic, or other compound materials.

Brad nails are particularly used for occasions where a smooth and aesthetic surface is required since their heads are much smaller than that of common nails. It features barrel-shaped head with a small diameter and a dimple on the top, so after penetrating into something, this pneumatic fastening tool won’t protrude above the surface.

Moreover, if the nails are removed from a wood sheet, the nail hole will disappear gradually after a period of time due to the expansion of wood fiber. The traditional fastening method is going to fall into disuse with the adoption of brad nail.

Advantages
Brad nail is widely-accepted since it is labor and time saving. Its efficiency is many times of that of a hammer. Meanwhile, this pneumatic fastener enables a much more aesthetic surface, so it is extensively used in indoor decoration and furniture building.
